High school math tutoring, Algebra 1 through AP.

Math builds on itself more than any other subject. A gap in Algebra 1 shows up in Algebra 2, then in precalculus, then in calculus. We find the gap and close it.

Pick your course

We tutor the standard US high school sequence, honors and regular: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus, as well as Integrated Math I to III. We also tutor AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Statistics, and Multivariable Calculus.

Your tutor follows your school's course and your teacher's methods, so what you learn in a session works on the next test.

MATH 110 · Honors and regular

Algebra 1

Almost every struggle in high school math or science traces back to a gap in Algebra 1. Getting it right now saves years of frustration.

MATH 210 · Honors

Honors Geometry

Geometry is the first math class built on proof. Students who were great at following steps in Algebra 1 are suddenly asked to come up with the steps themselves.

MATH 220 · Honors

Honors Algebra 2

Every later math and science course leans on Algebra 2. Exponents, logs, and function notation turn up in precalculus, chemistry, physics, and every standardized test.

MATH 250 · Honors

Honors Precalculus

Precalculus is where students either build the toolkit for calculus or carry gaps into it. A good tutor makes sure it is the first one.

MATH 300 · AP

AP Precalculus

AP Precalculus is newer than most AP courses, and its exam focuses on modeling and reading functions in many forms. Strong precalculus is the single best predictor of doing well in calculus.

MATH 410 · AP

AP Calculus AB

Most calculus mistakes are not calculus mistakes. They are algebra and trig slips made while doing calculus. We fix both at once, so the new ideas have something solid to stand on.

MATH 420 · AP

AP Calculus BC

BC covers a full year of college calculus. Students who do well in it usually are not smarter than everyone else. They just never let a topic slide, especially series.

Grades 11 to 12 →
STAT 400 · AP

AP Statistics

The calculations in AP Statistics are done on a calculator. The points are earned in the sentences around them: conditions, interpretations, and conclusions in context.

Grades 10 to 12 →
MATH 510 · Post AP

Multivariable Calculus

Students who finish AP Calculus BC early often take Multivariable Calculus through their school, a local college, or online. It is a real college course, and it moves like one.
